Exciting news! Story 2: ‘Evacuees’, is now being put together – the story is already written and the illustrations are taking shape – and we’re loving how different the environment of the Second World War is making our colour palette. Look at these initial sketches of children waiting on a railway station platform – there’ll be more to follow and some excerpts from the story.

Set between 1939-45, Major the oak tree takes Robin Hood’s Little Outlaws back to London during The Blitz, to follow brother and sister, Billy and Joan, as they escape the bombs to the Welsh Countryside, as part of Operation Pied Piper.

And wait until you see the interactive cover for this net book! We can’t wait to have this on the shelves and see people’s faces when they scan it – it will really bring wartime London and the plight of evacuated children to life!

We’ll give you a sneaky peek, soon…
